Fugenboy is a patented tool for creating any type of silicone joint - without masking tape.

In addition to the Fugenboy, you also need an appropriate sealant (e.g., silicone), a mastic gun and a spray bottle filled with soapy water (smoothing agent).

Cut off the tip of the cartridge to the joint width; then, apply the sealant to the cleaned joints without masking tape and spray the soapy water onto the sealant.

Now, hold the tool (5-17mm) at an angle to the tiled floor and pull it along the joint in your direction using light pressure. The sharp edge should always point in the direction of pull. You should stop regularly and wipe off excess material from the wet tool. By holding the tool at an angle, you can easily cross joint crossings.

For corner joints at an angle of 45°, you start from the corner. The tool must be constantly kept damp using the smoothing agent to prevent the sealant from adhering to the tool. If you work with acrylic, a smoothing agent may not be used.

For expansion joints, you remove excess material with the round tool by applying light pressure.

Then you can rework the bead with the small or large profile of the tool to recess the bead as required. This results in optimum flank adhesion for each joint.
